Before the full-size machines, Retro Games proved the concept with this half-scale C64: 64 built-in games, a classic-style joystick, HDMI output and save states, with USB loading when you outgrow the built-ins.
Amazon US has tracked it at $79.97 (original MSRP $79.99). The current Black Edition variant, with 25 modern homebrew games, has been seen as low as $65.98 on sale — worth a quick price check before you buy. Photo: THEC64 Mini alongside an original C64 (Wikimedia Commons).
